Upcoming Breakfast Seminar on ‘The process and practice of assessing compensation events under NEC3’: Thursday 3rd December 2015

Peter Sheridan and Jonathan Gold will consider when a contractor is entitled to compensation; the procedure by which compensation is assessed, including issues such as whether the assessment is prospective or retrospective, the meaning of Defined Cost and Disallowed Cost, and negative compensation events; and how compensation events are implemented.

As part of the seminar the judgements in Amec Group Ltd v Secretary of State for Defence, Atkins Ltd v Secretary of State for Transport, Northern Ireland Housing Executive v Healthy Buildings (Ireland) Ltd, and Mears Ltd v Shoreline Housing Partnership Ltd will also be considered.
